Guilds

Post  Tharsten on Thu Jan 15, 2009 6:33 pm

Hiya guys!

So, I'm going to implement Guilds soon. Before I do that, I have some questions, to know how you think of certain things.

1. So, first off, the Guild system will be based on groups. So, do you want to keep groups, and add guilds next to it? Or replace groups with guilds? I'll explain the difference here:

Groups: A group is just for the moment. Everybody in a group is equal, it os like a party. In a group, exp en money are shared.
Guilds: A Guild is for a longer time, and in a guild there will be 6 different ranks, with all their own rights (so to invite, to kick and to assign a rank).

2. Like I said, there will be 6 ranks. For every guild, these ranks will be the same (so the leader cant fill in the rank theirselves). I would like to know what you think the ranks should be, and what rights they should have. So like this:

- Leader (invite, kick, assign rank)
- Co-Leader (invite, kick, assign rank)
- General (invite, kick)
- Recruiter (invite)
- Member (-)
- Trainee (-)

Let me hear what you think about this. (I might make it that guild ranks are custom later.)

Thanks.

Normal members who can invite?! Nah. Then you get those mass clans and everyone gets 5 invites at the moment they join

Eewl!

Id say:

Trainee (no rights at all)
Member (no rights)
Recruiter (invite)
Elite Member (no special rights)
Co-Leader (all rights except disband guild and kick leader)
Grand Leader (all rights)

You should get recruiters for recruiting and not just members you like. Also you shouldnt get to many people who can kick and change ranks.
