This is what we needed.
Awesome.
I was worried we would stagnate here, but I think abyss breathed some fresh life into these forums, and hopefully it will encourage others to become more active in the community (and not just asking for avatars, lol.)
In response to this I have some Comments and Questions.
Comments.
1.Thank you, again, this is what we needed.
2. Rule 4 is a bad idea. I'm sure it can be worded in a way that is less dictatorial. It just sounds unfriendly. also, the "make a private complaint" I disagree with as well. I believe in open comments. Transparency is important.
3.All the other rules are great, though a little strict, but thats fine. I like the new approach to conflict, where you encourage members not to respond at all. Some of the conflict just got out of hand in the past, and this will serve the forum much better. Also, the Gallery, and Sprites and Clothes distinctions were also great.
4. I'll get back to work on those sprites very soon, I took a break for a couple days due to the holidays, but I should be getting back on the ball today or tomorrow. You have my permission to use the sprite base I'm working on, as well as the Namek base which should come shortly after the main base. Once I finish those I'll start working on clothing for them, and you can use those as well. The only thing I can't speak for are sprites of other people's characters, such as Gehn and Sax. Also, I'd like if I could use my Goho look personally. If not that's cool too.
5. If you'd like I could make some GUI mockups as well, just tell me what you need represented, and the screen size and I can whip some things up. I used to design websites and a similar approach is used basically.
Questions:
1. I'd like to hear more about this storyline. and the differences in the races and moves. Also, if you're accepting suggestions, then I may have some as well, if you haven't totally decided everything.
2.I'd like to hear a bit more about how this is being done, ie language being used, rough estimates of what's been done etc.

Re: This is what we needed.
Awesome that you like it. And I just removed rule 4.
About the GUI, I havent decided on what to add just yet but we will use a whole different style of GUI and we will add more windows.
I'm sorry I can't show you much of what has been done since its mainly performance tweaking. We added alot of bug fixes and speed enhancements to make sure we wont get so many errors in the long run. (Bugs tend to appear when you are near release, before that everything works fine.)
But now that we have the source's performance maximized I want to work on the GUI. All suggestions are welcome! First this:
1. Do you want a transparant GUI? or one where you cant see through, and
2. Do you want a GUI thats around your screen or more moveable windows?

Re: This is what we needed.
I think for most of the GUI opaque would be best, but for certain parts (like a mini map if you have one) semitransparent might be better.
Perhaps have the opacity as an option people can tune?
As for encompassing/movable, I think a mix of the two would be best.
For the always onscreen GUI, it should be static, for things like items windows equip windows, chat, they should be movable.

Isnt it an idea to make locks on the windows, so you can lock the window on its current position by pressing the lock icon, and if you click it again you can move your window again?

Seriously guys I've been waiting to play this game forever and no progress yet. I know I'm not supposed to say any of this but come on.

Yeah, we're mainly waiting on me to get the base sprite done... sorry. I try to get stuff done, but 've got a lot going on right now.
Honestly, I think the best solution for now would be to use the old base for now, while I work on the nw base, so I'm not holding everyone back.

Re: This is what we needed.
